Transfer Students
Transfer Your Credits and Stay on the Fast Track to Earning Your Degree
Montreat College welcomes transfer students transferring from other colleges and universities. We aim to accept as many credits as possible to keep you on track toward completing your degree and ensuring a smooth transition to Montreat College.
Transferring your hard-earned credits to Montreat College has never been easier. With Montreat College’s transfer credit evaluator (TRACE), our user-friendly tool helps you understand how your previous coursework from other institutions will transfer to Montreat College, allowing you to quickly see how close you are to completing your degree.
All transfer applicants must submit:
- An application for admission (apply online)
- Provide an official transcript* from post-secondary institutions previously attended.
- If you are in your first semester of college, submit an official high school transcript. You will be provisionally accepted pending the receipt of your current semester transcript.
- (For international students) Submit a course-by-course evaluation from InCred.
*Admissions decisions may be made based on unofficial transcripts. Final, official transcripts must be received by September 30 for the Fall semester and February 28 for the Spring semester to have credits applied. All final, official transcripts are required to continue enrollment beyond one semester.
Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (C average). Students who do not meet this requirement will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for conditional acceptance. These students will be limited to 14 semester credit hours for their first semester.
