For the ninth time in ten years, Montreat College has achieved record enrollment. The Fall 2024 semester set an institutional record with the largest incoming class in the college’s 109-year history, a testament to the college’s growing reputation for excellence in Christian higher education.
A total of 656 students are enrolled in Montreat College’s School of Arts & Sciences (SAS) for the 2024-2025 academic year, including the highest number of new full-time students in the college’s history.
The SAS breakdown includes:
- 270 new full-time students, marking the largest incoming class ever.
- 214 full-time freshmen, setting a new school record.
- 56 transfer students joining from other institutions.
- 373 returning students, demonstrating continued support for student success.
In addition to the strong traditional residential enrollment, 306 students enrolled in Montreat College Online’s degree programs offered through the School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS). This year’s online enrollment consists of 182 graduate students and 124 undergraduate students.

In total, 962 students enrolled at Montreat College this semester.
