Staff Positions
Graduate Assistant: Cheer/Dance Coach — Montreat, NC — The Cheer/Dance Coach (G.A.) will lead all aspects of a competitive cheer/dance program and is responsible for, but not limited to the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention, and academic success of student-athletes.
Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf — Montreat, NC — The Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf will assist in all aspects of a competitive golf program and is responsible for, but not limited to: the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention and academic success of student-athletes. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in college golf and recruiting; strong people skills; Experience in player development and strength and conditioning is preferred.
Athletic Trainer — Montreat, NC — The AT will assist in all aspects of athletic training and is responsible for, but not limited to leadership in multiple aspects of time management, including budgeting, and facilities management. This position will be responsible to maintain compliance with all Montreat College, Appalachian Athletic Conference, and NAIA rules and regulations.
TLC Lead Facilitator — Montreat, NC — A Lead Facilitator (LF) is responsible for the normal operations on the challenge course. With help from assistant facilitators, the LF directs client groups through challenge course elements, knows the expressed needs of the group, & conducts a plan to meet their needs.
TLC Assistant Facilitator — Montreat, NC — An assistant facilitator (AF) is responsible for assisting the Lead facilitator (LF) with the normal operations on the challenge course. The AF assists during emergency operations as needed. He/she may work with portions of the group independent of the LF but is under direction of the LF at all times.
Shuttle Driver — Montreat, NC — Serve as a shuttle driver for transporting students to and from the Black Mountain campus with positive, timely, professional, customer service. Shuttle service may include weekday, weekend, and/or on-demand as needed shifts depending on need. This position is part-time.
Director of Annual Giving — Montreat, NC — Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this employee will oversee and deliver the annual fund for Montreat College. This employee will utilize strategies to deliver the annual fund, including managing a portfolio of 250-300 annual giving and President’s Circle level donors, maintaining approximately quarterly touchpoints by phone, email, cards, video calls, and in-person meetings when advisable.
Security Officer — Montreat, NC — This role will function to support the mission of the Campus Safety Department by performing routine security duties. Service to the campus community will be performed in a tactful and professional manner.
Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach — Montreat, NC — The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach will assist in all aspects of a competitive women’s volleyball program and is responsible for, but not limited to: the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention and academic success of student-athletes.
Graduate Assistant for Montreat 360˚ — Montreat, NC — The Graduate Assistant for Montreat 360° will assist the Director of Career Development and other campus partners in the management and growth of Montreat 360°, a program centered on students’ experiential learning gained through campus co-curricular involvement, and development of skills and characteristics desired by employers.
Director of Student Engagement — Montreat, NC — The Director of Student Engagement is the primary owner and champion of Student Life initiatives related to campus programming and student leadership development.
Director of Career Development — Montreat, NC — The Director of Career Development is responsible for the development and implementation of career education programs and resources to help students identify and prepare for their chosen career path. As part of the Thrive Center team, contributes to the strategic areas of academic success, retention, and career readiness.
Graduate Assistant for Campus Technology — Montreat, NC — The Graduate Assistant for the Montreat College Technology Department provides support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff within the technology department.
Records Specialist (Registrar’s Office) — Montreat, NC — Reporting to the College Registrar, the Records Specialist provides vital services to the College community as a professional member of the Office of the Registrar staff. The position cooperates with and supports the Registrar, Associate Registrar, Assistant Registrar, and Certification Specialist in fulfillment of the work of the office.
Faculty Positions
Cybersecurity Competition Coach – Part-time — Montreat, NC — The candidate will be responsible for coaching and recruiting for cybersecurity competition teams, such as the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC), National Cyber League (NCL), CyberForce, and local CTFs with College and High School Students.
Adjunct Faculty in the School of Arts & Sciences — Montreat, NC — Adjunct faculty teaching opportunities for undergraduate programs on the Montreat College campus.
Online Adjunct Faculty in the School for Adult and Graduate Studies — Online — Adjunct faculty teaching opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate programs.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling – Montreat College Online — Remote — The candidate will be responsible for teaching courses (24 credit hours or equivalent per year) in the CACREP-accredited Montreat Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and other related areas, with specific courses determined by background and departmental needs.
Assistant Professor of Outdoor Recreation Studies — Montreat, NC — Montreat College seeks an assistant professor with experience in the broad field of outdoor recreation, environmental education, and/or adventure leadership. This is a full-time faculty position.
