Montreat College’s cutting-edge and visionary Cybersecurity program prepares students to solve the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. This program’s foundation is skills required to succeed in those environs: a combination of technical skills, communication, teamwork, ethics, and professionalism. In 2017, the Center for Cybersecurity Education and Leadership at Montreat College received the designation of Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Since receiving the CAE-CD designation, the college has added to its offerings a fully online BS in Cybersecurity, undergraduate and graduate certificates in cybersecurity, an Associate of Applied Science in cybersecurity, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in cybersecurity management. Montreat College also launched the Carolina Cyber Center (C3) to leverage the tremendous progress in cyber education and focus on workforce development and training.
Our mission is to provide excellence in education and training for Western North Carolina and beyond. In 2020, C3 now boasts numerous industry partners who see the need for training, certifications, and another pathway into high-demand positions in cybersecurity.

Summary
Montreat College seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as a key resource for the Center for Cybersecurity Education and Leadership at Montreat College.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for coaching and recruiting for cybersecurity competition teams, such as the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC), National Cyber League (NCL), CyberForce, and local CTFs with College and High School Students. The candidate will also teach summer Cyber Camps for high school and middle school students. Follow-up activities may also be included during the school year, as well as other applicable duties. (Approximately 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible.)
Qualifications/Expectations
Successful candidate will be a recognized leader in Cybersecurity who demonstrates a professional and personal commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Montreat College. That commitment includes agreement with the published Statement of Faith.
Successful candidate will demonstrate relevant IT/Cybersecurity industry experience and certifications.
Education/Experience
An earned Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or Cybersecurity is preferred. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, CISSP, CISM, and GIAC are a plus. Certifications in related areas will be considered in lieu of BS.
