Summary
Promote Montreat College to qualified prospective students and the people who influence them. Manage a portfolio of students based on academic programs and implement successful strategies that lead to meeting aggressive enrollment goals through consistent processes using creativity, persistence, personal appeal, excellent service, and compelling consistent message. This portfolio will be specifically tailored to high school students who are homeschooled, enrolled in a University Model or hybrid school, or interested in Montreat’s dual enrollment program, available both online and in-person.

Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Homeschool & Hybrid Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of 200-300 applied alternative school students with goals to enroll 40 students (~20 non-athletes) annually within an assigned portfolio of academic programs according to industry best practices
- Maintain consistent, ongoing follow-up contact throughout the year with prospective students via phone calls (average of 60-70 per week), email, letters, app-based text messages and personal visits, etc. until the enrollment process is complete.
- Stay informed on relevant homeschool, hybrid, and dual enrollment data for North Carolina and neighboring states, including key factors such as graduation. requirements.
- Conduct research and monitor trends within the homeschool, hybrid, and dual enrollment communities, analyzing growth and decline in specific areas to inform and enhance recruitment strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local homeschool networks and groups throughout North Carolina and beyond. Maintain a consistent list of top prospects with next steps outlined for each student.
- Conduct interviews and provide campus tours to prospective students, families, and influencers during campus visits and events.
- Build a rapport with homeschooling families and communities currently attending Montreat, as well as with prospective students and their families. Maintain consistent, current contact records in the recruitment database/CRM and provide weekly status reports.
- Meet regularly with the Director and other members of the admissions team to evaluate the status of prospective students and progress toward goals. Keep the Director and VP informed regarding travel, enrollment statistics, etc.
- Evaluate applications for admission according to established institutional criteria.
- Assist in the management of student workers who aid in achieving enrollment goals.
- Assist in maintaining an organized flow of data, admissions files, and communications to internal and external constituents.
- Assist management in assessing procedures and suggest ways to streamline and improve the recruitment and enrollment process.
Homeschool & Hybrid Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of 5-10 applied dual enrolled students annually within an assigned portfolio of academic programs according to industry’s best practices:
- Maintain consistent, current contact records in the recruitment database/CRM and provide weekly status reports.
- Evaluate applications for admission according to established institutional criteria.
- Assist in maintaining an organized flow of data, admissions files, and communications to internal and external constituents.
- Collaborate directly with the registrar’s office to complete (dual enrollment student) registration for Spring and Fall terms.
- Establish rapport with students’ families to foster trust and maintain strong relationships throughout the dual enrollment period, to encourage the transition to full-time enrollment.
Secondary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with special campus events involving prospective students and their families.
- Serve as a peer mentor for new admission counselors.
- Assist with miscellaneous departmental duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Admissions/recruiting/sales/customer service/marketing experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrate and articulate a personal Christian faith
