Job Posting: Graduate Assistant for Montreat 360˚

Summary

The Graduate Assistant for Montreat 360° will assist the Director of Career Development and other campus partners in the management and growth of Montreat 360°, a program centered on students’ experiential learning gained through campus co-curricular involvement, and development of skills and characteristics desired by employers. The graduate assistant is expected to affirm, model, and cultivate the Christ-centered mission of Montreat College.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with the Director of Career Development to introduce Montreat 360° to new students and market the program to the entire student body
  • Collaborate on the development of co-curricular programming to show students the value of involvement and outcomes leading to increased employability
  • Collaborate with Student Life partners to strengthen the student experience opportunities included in the Suitable app and increase student engagement with the program and the app
  • Develop a student guide, enhanced 4-year plan, marketing materials, and other resources supporting student engagement in the program
  • Provide administration of the Suitable app and develop workflows and processes related to the ongoing management of the app, as well as data collected through student use of the app
  • Ensure current and accurate information about opportunities for involvement and associated outcomes and run reports on engagement and badge completion
  • Attend planning meetings regularly and special events related to Montreat 360 occasionally; represent the program as a spokesperson or speaker as needed
  • Assist in supporting general operations of the Thrive Center space as needed; join in with members of student team on projects and programs occasionally
  • Communicate with students and campus partners about Montreat 360 and related programs, conduct outreach to students and faculty/staff members based on program needs
  • Start date is August 1, 2024. Remuneration includes tuition and stipend.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution is required. This is a 20 hour per week, 10-month position that requires the employee to be a full-time student in a Montreat College graduate studies program. (Stipend will be distributed over 12 months.)
