Dr. Bola Bayode
Assistant Dean of Distance Learning
Dr. Bola Bayode joined Montreat College in 2008 as an adjunct professor, and he currently serves as Assistant Dean of Distance Learning. Previously, he served as Campus Dean and Associate Program Dean at Strayer University and taught business administration and law courses at Wake Technical Community College. He also has taught business and humanities courses at Western International University and worked on various educational projects with other higher education institutions.
Dr. Bayode earned a Master of Juris from Emory University School of Law, specializing in Business Laws and Regulations. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Management from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Ogun State University in Nigeria.
Before transitioning to academics, Dr. Bayode worked in the private sector for over two decades. His corporate experience spanned the banking, retail business, and telecommunications industries. His areas of interest include e-learning, instructional design, curriculum development, academic administration, program development, strategic planning, education consulting, and adult education.
Dr. Bayode belongs to several academic and professional organizations, including the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Council of Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL), Harvard Business Review, United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA), Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Management, Higher Education Teaching and Learning, Online College Executives & Professionals, The Academic Executive Network, and other organizations. He is the author of Online Education: An Innovative Approach and Success in the Virtual Classroom (ISBN:9780578655703). Dr. Bayode enjoys playing soccer, riding a bike, and volunteering.
