Dr. Lesley-Ann Bovell joined the Montreat College faculty in 2022 as assistant professor of speech language pathology and program director for the Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology program. She is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She has been a speech language pathologist since 2010 and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Her areas of expertise are cultural competency in diagnostics, swallowing disorders, language and literacy, fluency, cognitive-communicative impairments, emotional disturbances, and augmentative communication. Her research has primarily been focused on the language assessment of culturally diverse populations.
