Dr. Maddison Melchionna
Assistant Professor of Natural Science
Studies in Natural and Health Sciences
Faculty of Science and Human Services
Maddison Melchionna joined the Montreat College faculty in 2022 as an assistant professor of natural science. She earned her B.S. in Biology from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK), where she studied how bacteria sense and respond to changes in their environments. While at UTK, she taught lab and lecture courses in biology and genetics.
In her free time, she enjoys running, watching scary movies, and getting lost in the woods while hunting for mushrooms.
