Dr. Meaghan K. Howard
Assistant Professor of Kinesiology
Dr. Meaghan K. Howard joined the Montreat College faculty in 2023 following more than a decade of teaching experience combined at Concord Academy (NC), Wingate University, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, Southeast Missouri State University, and UNC Greensboro as a teaching assistant. She earned her B.A. in psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her M.A. in health studies at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She also completed her Ed.D. in kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dr. Howard has been married to her best friend, Dr. Christopher Howard, for more than 25 years. They have both spent most of their careers in higher education. Together, they have one adult son. When she’s not teaching, Dr. Howard enjoys walking, hiking, swimming, or catching up with family and friends over a delicious meal or cup of coffee. She also loves to travel overseas with her family.
