About the MRC
The Mathematics Resource Center (MRC) is an initiative designed to supplement student learning. The MRC is a program area of the Thrive Center with a primary objective of providing support for students of mathematics.
MRC Benefits
The MRC provides students with one-on-one sessions with a trained peer tutor. By emphasizing critical reasoning and enhancing skills, the MRC provides essential training for future professionals in the following ways:
- Personal tutoring and homework assistance
- Identification of possible learning gaps
- Individualized skill-building remediation and practice
- Flexibility through open hours and scheduled appointments
- Enhanced confidence
- An encouraging learning environment
College Program Integration
To address our nation’s growing demand for quantitative skills, particularly in the fields of data and analytical processing, the MRC focuses on mathematical competency. In addition, the MRC benefits the quantitative development of students in mathematics, the sciences, and many disciplines throughout the college community.
Hours of Operation
7–9 p.m. (Sunday–Thursday)
The MRC is open for drop-ins during these hours in either the Bell Conference Room or the Thrive Center, both located on the first floor of the library.
